I'd like to say this camping spot was terrible and the worst service I've ever experienced... however I'd be lying simply because I don't want flocks of people to find this place cos it's a hidden gem only an hour out of Melbourne.
The truth is that the team at Lang Lang Caravan Park genuinely care about what they do and the safety and care of the people that stay here. Cathy and Dean take it seriously.
When my mate and I arrived to stay at the park, Cathy was friendly, accommodating and made the check-in easy. Our powered site was perfectly situated right on the water with a stunning panorama of the water. Sunset was incredible as we fired up the barbie. We ordered a fire pit which Cathy delivered herself and when she forgot the wood she then sped to not just the 1 bag we ordered, she delivered a 2nd bag for free to make up for it. She didn't have to but it highlights the quality of service she maintains. She went above and beyond.
The facilities here are very clean and well maintained, with everything you'd expect to make your stay comfortable. In the communal laundry space there are even appliances (toaster, kettle, etc) which can be shared if you forgot to bring yours.
In terms of security there is a boom gate entrance that requires key code entry in and out. Also the toilet block requires a code to access.
It's this attention to detail which gives me the confidence to come back and bring my kids next time. They will love the stretch of beach away from the hustle and bustle of other beaches and I'll have confidence as a parent that they are in a safe place.
I'd highly recommend this park but please don't let the secret out otherwise too many people will come and it will be hard for me to get a site next time ;P
